2 cups water
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup steel cut oats
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
2 tablespoons brown sugar

Bring water and salt to a boil in a 1 or 1-1/2 quart saucepan. Stir in oats. Cover and reduce heat to low. Cook 20 minutes. Stir in nuts, cinnamon and brown sugar. Serve with milk, if desired. Serves 4.
