CHOCOLATE GRITS AND FRUIT
1/4 cup quick grits
1 cup water
1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
2 teaspoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Tart dried cherries, dried cranberries, and/or chopped dried apricots, to taste
Cook grits in salted water according to package directions. When cooked and as thick as desired, stir in cocoa, sugar, vanilla and dried fruit. Serve with milk. Serves 1.
