Boiling water

For each pint, put 5/8 cup lemon juice and 3/4 cup sugar in a hot, clean pint jar. Stir to dissolve the sugar. Add 1 cup berries. Pour in boiling water to 1/2-inch headspace. Wipe jar rims. Put on hot lids and canning rings. Process using the raw pack method in a boiling water canner or process in a pressure canner according to the chart below.

To drink: Pour contents through a sieve into a half gallon pitcher. Press the fruit through the sieve. Add water to equal one half gallon. Serve cold.
